Here are some of the typical career paths for BMW STEP graduates.

As a BMW Technician you’ll be at the forefront of the automotive industry, working on some of the most innovative products available on the market and using the latest in diagnostic technology in a state of the art environment.

Shop Foreman
The BMW Shop Foreman manages the dealer workshop and supervises the technicians. The Foreman also assists technicians as needed to ensure repairs are carried out correctly. The Foreman manages workflow through the shop ensuring customer needs are prioritized.

Service Advisor
The BMW Service Advisor is the first line of communication with the customers during their visit to the workshop ensuring all service concerns are addressed while the vehicle is in the workshop for repairs. The Service Advisor also consults with customers on some of the new and innovative accessories available to retrofit and upgrade customer vehicles.

Service Manager
The Service Manager manages and oversees the workshop. The service manager is responsible for the shop profitability, cost control measures, equipment needs, record retention, shop productivity and efficiency and setting objectives. The Service Manager also maintains good relationships with the service department staff and customers.
