BMW Technician Qualification Requirements The BMW Technician Qualification Levels from the highest to the lowest are: BMW Master Technician BMW Certified Diagnostic Technician - STEP I graduate BMW Certified Technician - STEP II graduate BMW Technician. These qualification levels are achieved based on experience and successful attendance of technical training classes. The technicians who want to advance to the ACT Reward and Recognition Program must participate and qualify in additional ACT tests. Starting from BMW Certified Technician onward, a number of years experience working as a BMW Technician is required together with the training classes. When these two requirements are satisfied and certain tests passed, the student will be awarded the appropriate qualification. STEP I and II graduates will be integrated as shown on the chart.
