STEP Cost and Obligation |

STEP is a scholarship program, therefore BMW does not accept tuition for
STEP. BMW Centers fund the program in partnership with BMW of North America, LLC.
The student is not responsible for tuition. However, students that accept
the appointment are expected to be financially and socially able to support
themselves during training. Housing in all locations is organized in a
campus manner with prices ranging between $300 and $400 per month.
Food and transportation is also the responsibility of the student. With financial
planning and part time work after school hours a STEP student can support
him or herself in a reasonable fashion for the duration of the program.
BMW has only one requirement for STEP graduates: after graduation they must work for a participating
BMW center for a minimum of one year. To make this as easy as possible, BMW's STEP administrators
arrange interviews for students during the final weeks in the program. Individual BMW centers may
request that new hires sign a longer contract - but this is between you and the BMW center that hires
you.
